Application instructions

Quote Preparation:

***Please do not apply to freshly painted walls. Allow approx. two weeks after painting. The vinyl is sensitive to paint fumes.

Depending on the length of your graphic, it may come rolled. Unwrap and lay it flat until it stops rolling up. Placing it in a warm area or setting some books on it will help to flatten it out.

The graphic will have white application tape (this looks and feels like masking tape) on the front, the graphic in the middle and protective backing paper on the backside.

Take a squeegee (credit card, rubber spatula etc…), with the graphic facing up so that you can read it, firmly rub over the application tape to assure letters are sticking to the tape.

Surface Preparation:

Clean the surface to assure it is clean, smooth and free of dust.

Tape quotes in place:

Position your graphic on the surface so that it is aligned and level. Tape graphic to the surface along the top edge to form a hinge.

Removal of backing paper:

Now that your graphic is taped in the position you want. Flip the graphic up (keeping masking tape attached to wall) slowly and carefully peel the protective backing paper off. You want the graphic to stay on the application tape. If part of it is lifting off flip paper back and rub a little more in that spot from the front. Once backing tape is removed the graphic will be on the application tape which is sticky so keep it lifted up until ready to apply. Then flip the graphic back over and stick it down starting in the center top and work your way out and down to both ends smoothing out as you go.

Removal of application tape:

Now that the graphic is on the wall use the squeegee to rub over the graphic to now transfer it onto the wall surface area (this will also get out any air bubbles if you have any). Now peel the tape off. The graphic should remain on the surface, if the graphic wants to lift a little, just flip tape back over a bit and rub a little more in that spot. Remove the application tape completely.
